WaterFire is an event which takes place throughout the Summer in downtown Providence, RI. A series of fire pits are suspended in the river and ceremonially lit at sunset. Volunteers ride back and forth across the run of the river, stoking the flames and adding new logs when necessary. People stroll along the river, listening to beautiful and eclectic music.
