HUAC: Never Forget

The House Unamerican Activities Committee destroyed countless lives and careers. I decided to create this page when in the wake of Kazan's lifetime achievement award, I found people referring to him as a "hero" and ignoring the atrocities committed by HUAC. I don't personally care whether or not Kazan received an award-- the Academy can do whatever it wants. I do care about how we, as a population, respond to his actions. To ignore the damage he did is a dangerous thing, indeed. So this site is intended to educate and inform, by providing links to some outstanding sites about the issues involved.

The following are sites primarily about blacklisting by HUAC. However, a few pages are peripheral to the issues (For example, one is about the blackballing of homosexuals in the 1950's)
